Latest APEC Trade, Globalization Outlook to be Revealed

APEC’s research head, Dr Denis Hew, will launch the latest APEC Regional Trends Analysis on 17 May in Ha Noi and discuss the topline findings on trade and globalization that will shape policy development during the APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting here on 20-21 May and beyond.

APEC member economies account for 3 billion people, half of global trade and 60 per cent of world GDP.

What: Launch of latest APEC Regional Trends Analysis (Globalization: The Good, The Bad, and the Role of Policy) + insight on key findings

Topics will include:

  • Assessment of trade and globalization issues in Viet Nam and across the APEC region
  • New APEC trade and growth forecast, and policy implications
  • Question and answer session

When: 9:40am-10:25am on Wednesday, 17 May (after the opening session of the Second APEC Senior Officials’ Meeting)

Language: The proceedings will be in English

Where: Room 252 A/B, National Convention Center, Ha Noi

Access: Open to all media and delegates accredited for the APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting and the Second APEC Senior Officials’ Meeting and Related Meetings.
