In pursuit of aligning with the latest trends in customs control and services, and to realize a prominent position in the Strategic Plan of the SCCP, this report extensively consolidates the good practices from APEC customs authorities in enhancing smart control and services within free zones and free trade ports. The report conducts a comprehensive analysis of both traditional and disruptive technologies applied in these areas, identifies challenges confronted by customs authorities, explores potential future directions, and presents recommendations for advancing technological applications and fostering collaboration in related domains. The Case studies of Free Zones, Free Trade Ports, and Customs Smart Control and Services are annexed to this report.
