Summary Report: 12th Conference on Good Regulatory Practices

This report presents the summary of the 12th Conference on Good Regulatory Practices which covered topics concerning transparency and public comment procedures, internal coordination of rule-making and the implementation of TBT obligations related to notification. The discussions of the 12th GRP Conference provided the participants with a deeper perspective the opportunity to update on regulatory transparency and GRPs in the APEC region. The conference increased the awareness about the need to create initiatives and implement capacity building actions aimed to consider the necessary regulatory approaches to achieve the right balance between regulators, trade, stakeholders, regional bodies. The conference delivered three outputs: this summary report, a set of recommendations and an action plan, which will serve as guidelines for future work related to GRPs.
