Annual EDNET Meetings 

 

The Annual EDNET Meetings are usually held on the sidelines of the APEC Senior Officials’ Meetings. At the meetings, delegates from APEC member economies and other relevant multilateral organizations convene to summarize and evaluate their work related to joint educational projects, initiatives and activities over the previous 12 months, coordinate further action and formulate future work plans. The meetings aim to share information and best practices among APEC member economies so they can review the current status of education in the region and provide useful references for policy-makers. The 37th EDNET Meeting was held on February 10-11, 2020 in Putrajaya, Malaysia. The 38th EDNET meeting will be held on August 10-11, 2020 in Penang, Malaysia.

 

APEC Education Ministerial Meetings

 

The APEC Education Ministerial Meeting (AEMM) is usually held every four years. At the meeting, education ministers and senior officials review the progress of joint activities, projects and initiatives undertaken by APEC member economies, review the impact of current trends on education within the APEC region and chart future directions for cooperation in education. The preparatory work for the AEMM is coordinated by EDNET, and the priorities of EDNET are shifted and directed in accordance with corresponding AEMMs.

 

 

Workshops and Seminars

 

Workshops and Seminars aiming to push forward the joint projects, activities and initiatives of the network – are only held when needed, and are attended by officials, academics and experts from APEC member economies and other relevant organizations.
