Description
This report is the result of the discussions in workshop and other relevant work done in 2018 under the project, Earthquakes and Waterfloods Monitoring System with the Application of IoT. It consists of three chapters: Chapter 1 discusses the global and regional initiatives in the field, explores the current status of the DRR approaches, and explores the issue of using ICTs for the relevant purposes. Chapter 2 deals with the case studies from the selected economies both in and outside of APEC region, and identifies the existing gaps. Chapter 3 brings recommendations to further the hybrid IoT-based systems with a focus on the scaling up the capacities of existing monitoring systems.
