Description
Despite ongoing efforts by economies, the trade process remains largely manual and time-consuming, imposing significant costs on businesses and consumers. Digital trade facilitation is one potential solution to tackle these challenges. This Policy Brief examines the current state of digital trade facilitation with a focus on the role of digital trade platforms. It identifies the challenges hindering the wider adoption of such systems and provides recommendations to overcome key barriers.
