Additional Information
(this could include a description of the economy’s trading regime concerning trade in goods that are not newly manufactured, whether the regime may apply to remanufactured goods, the applicable HTS codes for imports of goods under the regime,
and/or the duties applied to imports covered by the regime)
The Philippines does not have specific laws or regulations applied to remanufactured goods. Nil The Philippine Bureau of Customs does not have a definition for remanufactured goods nor identify remanufactured goods at the border.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) regulates the importation of used motor vehicles and used tyres.

For rebuilt trucks or buses, the DTI requires those offered for sale to be covered by a mandatory warranty of at least three (3) months.

Importation of completely knocked-down parts or components of used trucks or buses are allowed only for accredited rebuilding centers of the DTI, provided these are rebuilt into whole units. This is to ensure that only technically competent centers will rebuild imported parts or components and to ensure that the correct duties and taxes are paid.
