The APEC Secretariat in Singapore grants internships to qualified persons specialized in various professional fields who are interested in gaining experience as well as an understanding of APEC’s programs.

The program provides interns an opportunity to work in a regional organization with a multicultural environment and to interact with/learn from experienced professionals. Through interaction with Secretariat staff, interns will also obtain different perspectives on the work and operations of the organization.

Communications and Public Affairs Unit Internship

The APEC Communications and Public Affairs Unit’s internship program will be opened starting April 2018. We are now looking for applicants.

The intern will work in the APEC Secretariat Communications and Public Affairs Unit and assist with a variety of tasks, including: implementing social media campaigns, editing videos, compiling news media articles, assist in posting content on social media, database management, and assistance in developing news releases, articles, website content and presentations.

To be eligible, candidates must possess an undergraduate degree and may be enrolled, or are planning to enroll, in a full-time graduate study program. The internship is open to students who are citizens or permanent residents of APEC member economies. The candidate should have strong written and spoken English skills. Preferred degrees are in international relations, economics, communications and/or journalism.
