APEC Research Center for Typhoon and Society (ACTS) and APEC Emergency Preparedness Capacity Building Center (EPCC) host bi-annual APEC Resilience Week (APECRW) under APEC. The 2025 APECRW carried forward the 2023 Seattle Guiding Principles – Guiding Principles – APEC Non-Binding Climate Resilience Guiding Principles to further explore the approach in capacity building from 2 to 5 August during SOM3 cluster, Incheon, Korea and called upon cross-fora collaboration to Navigating the Power of Science and Technology for Climate Resilient APEC for “Building a Sustainable Tomorrow”.  Stakeholders from 17 economies: Canada; Chile, India; Indonesia; Japan; Korea; Malaysia; Mexico; New Zealand; Papua New Guinea; Peru; the Philippines; Singapore; Chinese Taipei; Thailand; United States; and Viet Nam championed science for action from policy-led approach to local-driven collaborative science, technology and innovation (STI) solutions through public private partnership in Incheon to brainstorming the practical strategies on STI based DRR for facilitating sustainable and inclusive growth in APEC. Cross-fora collaboration among PPSTI, EPWG, SMEWG, CTI, FMP, SCSC and EGILAT highlight four critical key areas for cross-sector engagement:

• Disaster Risk Reduction, Mitigation, Preparedness, Response and Recovery on Resilience
• From Policy to Action for Empower Policy Community/Stakeholders Connectivity - Public Private Partnership for Communication
• Digital Transformation and Technical Transfer on Smart Cities, Smart Energy, Quality Infrastructure and Infostructure Investment
