1999 has seen an increased focus on resource management, both human and financial, in an effort to maintain and improve the delivery of the Secretariat’s services to member economies, APEC fora and the SOM Chair. To focus the Secretariat’s functions and resource allocations, an Operational Plan was drawn up with the full involvement of all staff. The following outlines the Secretariat’s performance in fulfilling its Operational Plan in 1999.
