In recent years, growing global environmental risks have drawn greater attention to coordinated environmental‑policy approaches. Against this backdrop, APEC convened the Capacity Building Workshop on Green Supply Chains to Address Environmental Challenges in Suzhou, China, in May 2026. Bringing together 50 government, industry and academic participants from APEC economies, international institutions and leading enterprises, the workshop featured keynote speeches, round‑table dialogues and thematic discussions focused on green‑supply‑chain capacity‑building. It exchanged governance ideas and practical experience and explored regional cooperation pathways. The event deepened mutual understanding of green‑supply‑chain advancement and resilient sustainable growth. It collated practices from home‑appliance, agri‑food and energy sectors and pinpointed regional capacity gaps. APEC economies and industries differ notably in technical and risk‑response capacities, meaning MSMEs and grassroots producers stand to gain from enhanced green‑supply‑chain support.
