Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women worldwide. Across the Asia-Pacific, earlier detection and better-coordinated care can substantially improve outcomes. The APEC Breast Cancer Roadmap 2026–2030 offers a voluntary, non-binding, and economy-led framework, prepared under the guidance of the APEC Health Working Group, to support economies in strengthening breast cancer care pathways. It sets out ten Actions in two thematic areas: the care continuum from early detection and screening through diagnosis and referral, treatment access, adjuvant therapy and recurrence prevention, to survivorship and continuity of care; and the systemic enablers that sustain it, including health financing, workforce capacity, digital health, data systems, and multi-stakeholder coordination. An accompanying System Readiness Assessment Tool (SRAT) allows each economy to map its own starting point and track progress at its own pace in 2026, 2028, and 2030. It is a practical tool for collective action and peer learning.
