The project facilitates the exchange of industry best practices, regulatory frameworks, and technological advancements in plastic recycling and cleaning, focusing on food-contact applications. It enhances understanding of risk assessment, decontamination technologies, requirements while strengthening food safety management through standards, testing, and monitoring. Additionally, the project also promotes coordination and possibly collaboration among APEC member economies to advance sustainable plastic recycling and reduce marine plastic waste.
