The APEC CTI 207 2023A project aimed to enhance supply chain transparency across APEC economies through the digital exchange of traceability and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) credentials, with a strong focus on MSMEs. The project combined global benchmarking with pilot implementations in China; Indonesia; and Peru, applying Global Data Standards to ensure interoperability across platforms and stakeholders. Key outcomes include the validation of a standardized methodology adaptable to low digital maturity contexts, the successful implementation of traceability solutions in diverse sectors (such as coffee, textiles and wood), and the demonstration of public–private interoperability. The Final Report presents a practical, five-phase implementation roadmap, emphasizing capacity building, regulatory alignment and scalable adoption to support transparent and efficient trade flows in the APEC region.
