This project aims to study the use of emerging information technologies by the IP offices of the APEC economies in their workflows. To this end, this project studied trends in the use of software developed using such technologies. As a first step, a questionnaire was distributed to economies to collect information on the approach of APEC IP Offices to the use of information technology in their IP protection activities.
Subsequently, the survey results were analyzed to identify trends and developments in these approaches in different economies. The resulting findings are presented in a report that can be used by both IP Offices and other stakeholders within the APEC economies.
