The project aimed to investigate how APEC economies support the sustainable development of aquaculture enterprises, particularly those of micro and small business producers, throughout the entire aquaculture value chain. The goal is to assist APEC economies in enhancing sustainable aquaculture production, balancing the needs of aquaculture farmers with environmental protection. By promoting sustainable development in the APEC region, aquaculture can be positioned as a competitive, diversified sector that is economically and socially viable, as well as environmentally sustainable over the long term.
