Manufacturing-Related Services (MRS) is an integral part of the global economy, encompassing a wide range of value-added activities that support the manufacturing sector. Services are vital at all stages of the manufacturing process, from initial design to after-sales, monitoring and maintenance, and financial services that support all manufacturing sectors. The final report encapsulates the outcome of the workshop and Private-Public Policy Dialogue on MRS held in July and August 2023. It highlights challenges in defining MRS, outlines APEC initiatives, discusses MRS challenges to trade and investment policies, and provides key policy recommendations to address these concerns.
