Consensus frameworks are voluntary, principles-based agreements or commitments among diverse health stakeholders to strengthen ethical collaboration. The Business Ethics for APEC SMEs Initiative encourages the development of consensus frameworks to promote ethical collaboration between patients’ organizations, healthcare professionals, government, and industry in support of high-quality patient care. To build the capacity of consensus framework parties to maximize engagement and effectiveness, this resource guide covers five essential areas: launching, governance, action, communications, and sustainability.
