This report is one of the outputs of the APEC Project in "Promoting Bioplastic Materials to Reduce Marine Plastic Litter in the Asia Pacific Region." The main objective of this workshop is to identify the barriers and opportunities faced by APEC economies in promoting bioplastic materials to reduce marine plastic litter. Through pre-research and workshop implementation, this report serves as better support for the APEC Roadmap on Marine Debris. Additionally, the report contains strategic recommendations to overcome barriers to the application of bioplastic materials in all APEC economies.
This report comprises presentations from all workshop speakers, categorized into four discussion sessions and one field trip session. It gauges participant comprehension through Pre-Test and Post-Test evaluations, consisting of short tests deliberately designed with questions derived from the presentation material. The report further includes the results of both pre and post-test evaluations, along with a summary and recommendations derived from the workshop.
