This publication summarizes the outcomes of the series of a workshop undertaken from 2020 to 2021 under the project, On-board Training to Foster Competent Young Future Maritime Global Leaders. The report covers policy dialogues for sustainable onboard training in the APEC region, discussions on exchange of resources, and best practices that could help the maritime workforce maintain and improve on their skills. It also presents the outcomes of the onboard training curriculum and its relevant materials that can be utilized for various purposes, including course design, training of human resources, and policy guidelines.
