This report presents a summary of discussion from the workshop, Strengthening Women’s Empowerment and Leadership through Digital Economy in Boosting Economic Growth held on 29-30 September 2021. The workshop covered four main issues: 1) policy overview on women’s empowerment and leadership; 2) awareness on social networks and its role in accelerating women’s empowerment and leadership through digital economy; 3) sharing of experiences and best practices; and (4) development of recommendations for APEC’s program on accelerating women’s empowerment and leadership through digital economy.
