Since APEC Leaders announced the Connectivity Blueprint in 2013, economies have been making progress in strengthening institutional, physical and people-to-people connectivity across the region. This report covers six case studies, with two for each of the three connectivity pillars. The case studies emphasize that the connectivity pillars are often interlinked; as a result, an initiative focused on one pillar may have implications on other pillars. The importance of digital technology is apparent in most case studies, both in the form of ICT infrastructure development and through the adaptation or application of technology-friendly solutions. Ensuring that policy making is adaptable and forward-looking in the new digital economy are also discussed in several case studies.
