Description
S&T Innovation and policy tools enables mining industry to generate new dynamism for sustainable and innovative growth. This project convened experts from public and private sectors to identify a categorized list of technologies and policy tools, which provides reference for innovative, sustainable and inclusive mining.
Based on China’s domestic case study on upgrading Sichuan gold mines by introducing new technologies, building social license and knowledge capacity with S&T communication, and promoting economic growth by developing tourism and characterized local businesses, the project conducted a comparative study and a seminar held in second half of 2018 in Sichuan, China.
This report presents the outcomes of the seminar and compiles case studies conducted under the project.
