This policy brief aims to provide a snapshot of trade of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) products in the APEC region and the types of Non-Tariff Measures (NTMs) most commonly affecting these products. When possible, the policy brief shows real examples of how trade flows were affected after the introduction of a specific NTM. Policy alternatives to NTMs that are less trade-restrictive and could facilitate governments to achieve their objectives are also described.
