The APEC Workshop on Promoting the Development of Biomass Energy report summarizes the presentations and discussions on the state-of-play, development and trends of biomass energy development; views from various sectors on the development of biomass energy; and recommendations on the way forward.

Initiated by Viet Nam and co-sponsored by China and the United States, the workshop was held in Ha Noi, Viet Nam on 26 and 27 July 2016. Speakers and participants came from 10 APEC member economies and one international organization. Most of the participants were from the public sector, academic institutions or the private sector relating to biomass energy.
