This “Strategic action plan to control antimicrobial resistance in the Asia-Pacific region” was developed by the Strategic Focus Group, which consists of the experts on infectious diseases, health science, veterinary medicine, healthcare officials from APEC economies, and external APEC stakeholders. This report is based on the First and Second APEC Expert Forum which were held for the APEC project entitled ‘International initiatives to control antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in the Asia-Pacific region” in 2011.
