APEC experts focus on development and use of biofuels

Chiang Mai, Thailand, 26 May 2010 - Anticipating a move away from fossil fuels, the APEC Agricultural Technical Cooperation Working Group has established an international network of experts from both public and private sectors, dedicated to exploring issues associated with the development and use of biofuels.
Pooling knowledge resources to maximise collective benefits and to address future challenges, the group will meet regularly with a view to disseminating best practices and to inform policy-makers in their respective economies.
