Workshop: APEC-OECD Education Data Workshop
27-29 November 2018 Canberra, Australia
Australia will host a technical Education Data Workshop, facilitated by the OECD, gathering together data experts, government and education sector representatives from APEC member economies, to share and learn from best practice in education data collection in the APEC region.
To support greater APEC education data capacity and to monitor education outcomes more generally, APEC economies will benefit from drawing on OECD expertise, methodologies and approaches to support monitoring through the APEC Education Strategy Action Plan, and the APEC Report on Education and Economic Development. The project will also support economies’ efforts to report on progress towards the UN SDGs.
Australia would strongly encourage the participation of both a data expert and EDNET representative from APEC member economies, to help draw together links between education data and policy. Australia will fund the participation of one data expert and one EDNET representative from travel eligible economies.
