8-9 Nov Concluding Senior Officials' Meeting
During their third and concluding meeting of the year, Senior Officials will review the outcomes of Ministerial Meetings and work undertaken by APEC Committees, fora and the Secretariat in 2009. These outcomes will be highlighted and future directions outlined in the Senior Officials' Report to the APEC Ministerial Meeting. More info

9-12 Nov APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) Meeting
ABAC provides APEC Leaders and Officials with input on business sector priorities and concerns. This year, ABAC is expected to ask Leaders to: accelerate regional economic integration by setting a timetable for initiating a Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific; resist protectionism; increase investment flows in the region; and conclude a global climate change agreement that provides business with a predictable and stable operating environment. VOF provides a platform for 120 youth leaders from all 21 APEC member economies to engage government and business leaders on issues relevant to APEC and youth. More info

10 Nov APEC 20th Anniversary High-Level Symposium: 20 Years in History, Connecting the Region and the World
Organised by the Institute of South East Asian Studies, this Symposium brings together those intimately connected with the creation of APEC, such as former Australian Prime Minister Bob Hawke, and contemporary foreign affairs experts including World Bank President, Robert Zoellick. A commemorative book on APEC will also be launched.

Finance Deputies meet on the 11th and Finance Ministers meet on the 12th to discuss global economic developments, trade finance, public-private partnerships for infrastructure projects and new growth paradigms. A working lunch will be held with ABAC on the 12th. Ministers will issue a Statement at the conclusion of the meetings and hold a press conference (12th).

11-12 Nov 21st APEC Ministerial Meeting
Foreign and Trade Ministers from APEC's 21 member economies will review APEC's key achievements for the year and agree upon initiatives for when Japan hosts APEC in 2010. Ministers will issue a Joint Statement for endorsement at the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and hold a press conference (12th). More info

APEC Leaders will issue a Declaration outlining their shared views on key topics and setting the strategic direction of APEC for the forthcoming year. A press conference, chaired by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, will close the week.
