APEC Trade Ministers Release Statement on the Doha Development Agenda

Cairns, Australia, July, 5, 2007

The 13th Meeting of APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade has released a Statement on the Doha Development Agenda.

The morning session of the ministerial meeting was dominated by a review of the latest details of WTO negotiations and consideration of action to be taken by APEC to bring the round to a successful conclusion.

The statement was issued at the conclusion of their first day of meetings that involved ministerial discussion on a number of other issues impacting on the social and economic wellbeing of the Asia-Pacific Region.

The APEC Trade Ministers' Meeting concludes in Cairns tomorrow.
