Capacity Building Network  

The Capacity Building Network (CBN) promotes human capacity building and the strengthening of markets through improved productive processes, enterprise productivity and adaptability, management and technical skill development, and corporate governance in the public, private and voluntary sectors of APEC Member Economies.

Latest Developments

CBN activities in 2007 were focused on the following areas -
  • Capacity Building for the New International Architecture in Trade and Investment
  • Capacity Building for Investment Liberalisation and Facilitation
  • New Corporate Procurement Strategy on Trade in Goods and Services in the APEC Region: Supply Chain Options with CSR Perspective
  • Seminar on Bringing Research Ideas to Market
  • Workshop on the Comparability of Qualifications for the Health Sector within the APEC Region
  • APEC Training for Trainers in Problem-based Learning Approach
  • APEC Vocational Training Program
CBN also endorsed five new projects.
