President of the United States Barack Obama opened the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting on Sunday.

“Today, we've got an opportunity to make progress towards our ultimate goal, which is a seamless regional economy,” said President Obama.

“We’re going to be focusing on three specific areas: increasing trade and investment, promoting green jobs, and streamlining and coordinating regulations so that we encourage trade and job creation,” he added.
